Key Challenges

Yes Bank wanted to enable and empower the RMs/ CSEs real-time identification of customers entering and leaving the branch so as to provide differentiated set of services to enhance the overall banking experience

It required a system to help RMs and CSEs have quick access to various reports based on the customer count, type of customers and their transactional history

To escalate the notification of customer's arrival in the branch (and not attended) to the branch manager after a pre-defined time interval
Solution offered
Customers were issued RFID tagged Debit Cards (existing debit cards of the customer were embedded with RFID tags) Customer details were stored in RFID tags.

Solution provided was a combination of RFID enabled Debit cards, RFID readers synchronized with cameras.

Customer picture captured by the camera and his details retrieved by RFID readers installed at the entrance were displayed on screen of idle RM/CSE

RM/CSE serves the identified customer whose past transactional report help the bank anticipate customer requirements and serve him more efficiently

Post transaction, when the customer walks out of the bank, RFID Reader once again reads the tag and updates the database
