Spanco bags Orissa data deal

Telecom and IT major Spanco on Wednesday said that it has got a contract from the Orissa government to set up a data centre as part of the e-government initiative. Spanco, which beat larger rival TCS in getting the contract, said this would be the first of the 23 similar projects that the government has lined up and is scheduled to be completed within four months.
